People were born with different feet, narrow or wide, low arch or high arch. To figure out what type of running shoes you need you should first decide what type of foot you have. This can be done with a wet footprint test. Determine your foot by the shape of your wet footprint on a piece of paper or dry floor. If you see almost your entire foot print, you have a low arch feet.
If you have a low arch foot, i.e. you are more likely to overpronate. Flat foot term is used when the arch sits on the ground completely. If you are overpronator look for shoes which have the words ‘stability’, ‘support’ , ‘for over- pronators’ and ‘motion control’ on the box.
Here are several sneakers and athletic shoes for low arch feet which come in wide and extra wide widths.
